Series Overview

This series addresses new and/or developing research, technology, therapy, and practice guidelines in various areas of cardiovascular medicine. Sessions aim to address developments in treating cardiovascular related diseases well as practice issues identified in QA conferences. 

Target Audience

Cardiovascular Medicine Faculty (MD, DO), Physicians, Fellows, Residents, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses (RN, APRN, LPN), Lab Personnel, Students. Some sessions will be relevant to Internal Medicine, Cardiothoracic Surgery and Pediatric Cardiology.

Global Objectives: 

After participation in this regularly scheduled series, participants will:

  • Improve their ability to provide state of the art, patient-centered cardiovascular care to patients in the clinic, on the inpatient services and in the diagnostic laboratory.
  • Improve their practice performance in the areas of diagnostic testing for CV disease, appropriate use of newly released medications, and implementation of guideline-recommended treatment for all forms of CV disease.
  • Expand their knowledge about new discoveries in the pathophysiology of cardiovascular disease.
